Christina Holzhauser
Award-Winning Executive/Personal Assistant
Testimonials
I have received a lot of testimonials over the years' in various forms - including a surprise nomination for the Admin Awards in 2022 in the Strategic Business Partner category, which I am proud to have won (I'm still pinching myself!). Here are some of the kind words people have shared about their experiences working with me.

Winning Nomination for the Admin Awards (Strategic Business Partnership)
I am the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Parker Staffing and Christina Holzhauser is my Executive Assistant. I have over thirteen years of experience in the staffing industry and am the top sales executive for Parker. My role is responsible for generating new business for Parker and expanding our footprint in existing clients. Since we are an administrative staffing firm, we have heavy market competition, and my job is very challenging on many levels. Despite these challenges, I have built a career I am intensely proud of and was even recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40” list for 2020. However, there is no way I could have achieved something like “40 under 40” without the exceptional talent that is Christina Holzhauser.
I sometimes think of my life BC (Before Christina) and AC (After Christina) and am amazed at the difference. Despite having a ten-year tenure in my role at Parker, I had never had an EA before—partly because I have always been very particular about how I run my business. My role is unique because I have one of the biggest client portfolios in my industry—it is practically unheard of in staffing to have one salesperson carrying $15mm in revenue and $4mm in gross margin. So, you can imagine how difficult it was for me to hand any part of the reins over to someone else. However, I had two small children and a big job, and balancing both was becoming completely unsustainable. I knew I needed help.
When Christina started as my EA, she came with excellent experience, but she also had a secret weapon—she ran her own blog for administrative professionals. This proved to be a significant advantage in many ways, as the blog had helped her build her writing, design, and marketing skills, as well as her network. Little did I know at the time how much these skills would prove to be critical in supporting me.
We started our partnership by offloading the typical EA tasks—my calendar and email, expense reporting, travel booking, etc. But even those came with their own nuances. I get hundreds of emails per day from clients with a wide variety of communication styles and asks. Their asks are also specific to our business and rarely yield a simple yes/no answer. Christina took it upon herself to research our industry and my top clients. She is a keen observer of people, and through meetings, calls, and emails, she quickly picked up on client behaviors and adjusted her style like a chameleon. I watched in amazement as she won over even my most difficult clients with her endless kindness and ability to be so friendly and humble and approachable.
She then turned her focus to me and learned who I was and what made me successful. Over two years, she became an expert in who I am as a person. She understands my voice, how I service my clients, and how I communicate with my network. As a result, her role expanded to include marketing and account management. Once she understood my personal brand, she started growing it. She increased my following on LinkedIn from 2k to 10k followers and develops and writes all the content I post on the platform. She started a Twitter account for me (I don’t even know how to use Twitter!) and grew that following, resulting in me being asked to speak as a subject matter expert for multiple high-visibility events and podcasts. Before Christina, my brand was respected in Seattle, but within two years, she made me a national name.
She also took on all my email marketing campaigns. Before Christina, our email campaigns hovered around a 4% open rate. Christina crafted an approach rooted in keeping the content relevant but personal, using graphics, photography, and more to create a personal touch. Now our campaigns typically receive a 20% open rate, which is astounding.
She’s also taken her uncanny ability to learn people and extended it to our clients (and even our internal employees!) She manages our entire client gifting program, and I know how hard this is because I managed it on my own before. Christina took the program to the next level. Without being prompted, she reached out to all our top client contacts and got their birthdays so we could send them personalized gifts and recognitions. She keeps track of client feedback so we can get even more personalized as we work with clients, and the creativity she shows in making people feel truly special (especially in today’s COVID world) is unparalleled.
With clients, she is always ready to respond with a welcome word, supporting me and strengthening the relationships that help me build our business. She makes sure I’m able to be in the right place at the right time to do what I do best. To have an EA be 100% client facing in such a fast-paced environment—and in a true account management capacity—is rare. She is also an excellent researcher, who is able to provide a wealth of information on potential prospects, new markets, and more.
In any normal staffing firm, our two roles would probably be handled by multiple salespeople and a whole marketing team. Because I can rely on her for so many things, we have become the ultimate dynamic duo. My book of business has grown $1.9mm in gross margin since she started, which translates to over 100% growth. We have grown our division by 70% and helped to position it for scale.
She’s also graciously offered assistance in other areas of our business, from supporting our new President until she got her own EA, to acting as a content creator for our company website and contributing to other marketing materials.
Over little more than two years, Christina has truly become an extension of me, and that is no small feat! I think it’s one thing to tailor an approach to an executive once you get to know them, but when you can BECOME their voice so seamlessly, you’re on another level entirely. And because Parker is an administrative staffing firm, we’ve worked with thousands of EA candidates in our 40-year history. I can confidently say she is one of the best administrative professionals I have ever encountered. To call her just an EA is limiting–she is my right hand, and quietly but unquestionably, she’s become one of the most strategic people in our organization. She’s motivated by knowing she’s giving her executive the highest level of support. I can balance a huge job and being a mom because of Christina. I can actually take vacations and recharge because I know she has me covered. I can be the best version of myself.
For my 40th birthday, she created a journal for me to write down my goals. She custom designed it and when I opened it, I was surprised to discover it was full of words, phrases, and other tidbits that I had talked about with clients and in conversation with her. She reflected me back to myself and it came full circle for me—to see how deeply she knows me. I treasure my relationship with Christina, both personally and professionally. As I look to the future, my strategic planning is crafted around Christina and what we have the potential to accomplish together. If that isn’t the best strategic partnership you’ve ever seen, I challenge you to find one better!

I have had the great opportunity to work with Christina over the past 5 years. She was the Virtual Assistant to a client in Dallas. Always being two steps ahead, Christina's clear communication skills and precise directions on what was needed from me made managing the clients home easy and painless. Christina is super tech savvy, especially when it comes to learning new technologies quickly. Her response time and attention to detail allowed everyone and everything to run seamlessly. Christina's thoroughness and dedication to assisting her clients has allowed her to be the top Virtual Assistant out there. She prides herself in always staying on track, exceeding deadlines so she can free up additional hours for her clients to continually be successful.

Christina spoke to our FM Executive Assistant Network via video conference. She was excellent! Her passion and knowledge about the Executive Assistant profession is amazing. She was able to share that with our group in a very casual and professional manner. Her information was well organized and she had additional information and links to articles from her blog that she shared with our group after the meeting. Everyone in our group commented that they learned something new that they were going to implement in their position.
I would highly recommend Christina for speaking engagements to any size group in person or via video conference. Our group was very appreciative of her time!

Beautiful! Inside and out! Genuine, articulate, intelligent and dedicated!
I worked with Christina at Media General when I was the HR Compliance Officer, and responsible for policy writing. I counted on Christina to proofread documents for me. She has impeccable writing skills and always finds a way to make the product better. She is someone you can count on to be positive, responsive, and thorough.
Did I mention that she has made administration into a science AND an art? I learned from Christina that time is valuable and in order to become successful in balancing work and home life, you must be stingy with it! Christina is always willing to help others learn to become self-sufficient through her tips and organization techniques. What I love about her the most is that she is genuine, and truly a beautiful person!

"Farewell Christina" book dedication page
I received a farewell book on my last day at Media General from the whole company. This is the lovely dedication page that two of the executives I assisted wrote about me.

Christina moderated an online event in which I was one of the guests and she did an amazing job. She made sure we were comfortable and well-prepared prior to the panel. During the event she was well-spoken, engaging, and kept us on topic and on time - not an easy feat when dealing with multiple guests in any setting, but especially on a virtual platform! She was an absolute pleasure to work with - she definitely has a gift for online event planning and hosting!

Christina is a true professional and an absolute delight to work with. I would happily work with her again as a guest blogger or contributor to her value-packed website. Collaborative, transparent, and kind, she communicated every step of the process so I never had to guess what was going on or what was expected of me. She was extremely open to feedback, but also had a firm grasp of what works best for her audience, with whom she clearly and genuinely empathizes. As a former assistant myself, that means the world to me. She isn't just out there to turn a buck, she is bringing real value to real assistants. If you are considering working with Christina, DO IT. You won't regret it!

I have had the recent pleasure of working with Christina by writing a guest blog for her Tips for Assistants blog, of which I have followed religiously since I discovered it. When the opportunity was put out there, I immediately jumped on it, and step by step through the process, Christina was so easy to work with (all steps were clearly communicated to me and she expeditiously got my guest blog published and shared with her many followers). I could tell from our very first interactions how much we both love what we do and find complete fulfillment in helping others in our field! I think that due to Christina's mad skills in social media marketing and the ability to pull anyone in the administrative profession in, any prospective VA/PA client of hers, or potential guest blogger, should highly consider working with her. Teamwork makes the/her dreamwork! Christina was awesome to collaborate with and exudes positivity. I would love the opportunity to work with her again in the future.

Christina is one of my favorite people I’ve had the pleasure of working with — she has a friendly, radiating presence that spreads to those around her. I’ve worked with Christina for one year in her role as an Executive Assistant at Media General. She volunteered her time on the employee volunteer program’s steering committee, worked with the Marketing department on countless in-office events, and coordinated executive schedules with key leadership engagements. Christina is proactive, thoughtful, intentional, and reliable. I’m blown away by the level of care and attention she puts into everything she does whether it’s follow up research or taking ownership of an event. She’s also taken the initiative to start her own brand, Tips for Assistants, to share her knowledge and skills with others. Christina has a heart of gold, and I’m thankful to have met her in my time at Media General.

Christina is an extraordinary collaborator and advocate for the administrative professions. She combines a wealth of technical and professional expertise with a genuine concern for others. She is a generous collaborator, and will deliver far above and beyond expectations once she commits to a project!
Her blog, TipsForAssistants.com, is one of my favorites in the profession, because it provides bite-sized chunks of information that can be put into use almost immediately for an immediate ROI.
If you ARE an admin, follow her. If you NEED an admin, hire her!

Christina is about the most amazing EA I've ever had the pleasure of having support my needs. There is nothing she can't handle and thinks through the optimal way to achieve any goal or task efficiently.
More importantly (and this is really the difference between Christina and others with whom I've worked) Christina brilliantly anticipates everything... calendaring, recurring event time management, client meetings, internal briefings, key clients and internal peer prioritization getting time with me, ensuring I eat, sleep and am prepared for things coming up days, weeks and months ahead.
She is never intrusive, but has a phenomenal way about getting the answers and direction she needs to move everything forward.
There are simply hundreds of other details that make Christina in a league of her own, but in short, I will say, she cares deeply about how her works improved the life of the executive she supports and doing everything thoughtfully. The only reason she no longer works with/for me, is because she moved. One of the worst business days of my life;).

"Top 10's about Christina"
On my last day when I was a House Manager, I received an incredibly kind "Top 10's" lists from everyone I worked with (even the kids).

Christina directly supported me for my first 5 months at Media General and was a great support. She is the kind of person who thinks a step ahead and knows how to keep a department on track, whether it be with systems and reminders or knowing who to go to, to get something done. She is the consummate professional, a great proofreader, and is willing to dive in to any project where needed. The definitive team player.
- Ellen Shultz,
Vice President of Human Resources,
Media General
Christina was a pleasure to work with. She has a strong attention to detail and always goes above and beyond no matter how large the task. She takes pride in everything she does and that is reflected in the quality of her work. She has an impeccable attention to detail- so much so that it was not difficult for her to earn my trust (which isn't an easy task). She also had a greater respect for my time, than I did. I learned a great deal from working with Christina, especially in her management of time. Working with Christina was a pleasure and I look forward to the opportunity to cross paths with her in the future.

Vice President of Digital Media Activation,Lin Digital
It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend Christina Holzhauser as an Executive or Personal Assistant.
Christina reported to me at LIN Digital/Media General for 16 months (July 2015-October 2016) alongside our Senior Executive team, managing up to 4 people at once.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Christina, and came to know her as a truly valuable asset to absolutely any team. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, she is impressive at being responsive, proactive and was able to deliver her own solutions to any problem at hand.
Her knowledge of time management and expert organizational skills was a huge advantage to our entire office. She put this skill set to work in order to coordinate many notable projects, such as remodeling our c-level executive’s office space. She also ensured all leaders participated in weekly/monthly staff meetings, managed multiple executives ranging from newly hired to senior-level and organized a leadership offsite team summit event in 4 short weeks.
Along with her undeniable talents and thoughtfulness, Christina has always been an absolute joy to work with. She is a true team player, always manages to foster positive discussions, brings out the best in other employees and lends a hand in areas of need. She exudes optimism, finding opportunities in even the most challenging situations. She has also shown flexibility in overcoming any task given to her with speed and precision.
Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Christina to join your team. As a dedicated and knowledgeable employee and an all-around great person, I know that she will be a beneficial addition to your organization.
Don't hesitate to message me for more specifics that Christina accomplished in her time working at LIN Digital/Media General.

Christina is the embodiment of Others First - she always has such a positive attitude, willingness to be of support, problem solve and collaborate. She will often offer to pick up things when she senses the ops team is slammed and jumps in quickly with an answer to help us out. She is someone you can always count on, comes to every meeting with a wonderful smile and positive attitude that brightens up the day! She is a wizard with calendaring that saves me a huge amount of time trying to find a spot for meetings with the team.
It is hard to name everything amazing that she does for Parker - suffice it to say we are stronger because we have her on our team and we are so grateful every day for her!

Christina you are truly the best ever, my friend! Words just can't describe how amazing you are!

Parker could not be prouder of our very own Christina Holzhauser for not only being a finalist in the Pacific Northwest for the coveted Admin Awards (one of the most prestigious recognitions for Administrative & Executive Support roles), but for WINNING this recognition in the Strategic Partnership Category!!
Over the last two years Christina has truly been a strategic partner and the right hand to our SVP of Sales, Lindsay Lundberg. Christina is motivated by knowing that she is giving her executive the highest level of support, and in doing so provides our clients with an exceptional experience. She is a true master of her position.
It may not be surprising to some that an administrative staffing firm was recognized by the Admin Awards, but it rarely happens!! Congratulations, Christina!! Parker Staffing is a better organization because we have you on our team!! You make us look good!!
- Lisa Pierson,
President,
Parker Staffing
In working closely with Christina at Parker Staffing, she has always been a great teammate and is always so positive. She helped train and onboard me and completely set me up for success. She is prepared and doesn’t miss a detail with her processes. Christina is a natural event planner and even had event plans she passed along to me that I was able to take and run with, which was so helpful especially when I was getting started.
In her position, she has tackled a wide variety of complex tasks with ease. We’ve worked together on travel planning, calendaring, and culture initiatives and I’ve been so impressed with her organization, excellent time management, and prompt communication.
The scope of her support has grown over my time at Parker and I’m confident that she can learn and excel in any EA capacity.
